For over 7 years I had suffered from chronic neck and shoulder pain. On a level of 1-10 (10 being the worst pain and 0 being no pain) my pain was constantly at an 8. After a few months of receiving acupuncture on a regular basis from acupuncturist Steven Sonmore this has made a HUGH difference. Now I can actually turn my head enough to drive safely. Thank you!

I researched lots of diet plans, i.e. Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers, but I'm glad I decided to dive in and go for acupuncture to lose weight. Everything I read on the internet convinced me that this was someplace very reputable. I made an appointment.



The actual acupuncturist is a man. He's tall and lean and very purposeful. His name it Steven Sonmore and he is a licensed acupuncturist with over 20 years experience! He answered all my questions and mentioned that several acupuncture needles could help me to STOP binge eating and to STOP OVEREATING! I go twice a week, not once have I screamed! It's really not bad – and I am a 10 on the squeamish charts! I never fall asleep but I think a lot of other people who enjoy resting in a serene environment for 30-40 minutes with their eyes closed will like this!



Then there is the part later that day when you feel inexplicable happy!! You go around actually telling people that you are HAPPY!! You feel that good! They say that this is like a runner's high. The up feeling you get sometimes from acupuncture is pretty great! I spent an entire day, after an appointment, filled with energy! I actually told my husband I'd shovel (something I never ever do!) and I did the entire driveway and yard and then I did it again the next day! It's really exhilarating to feel SO good that involves doing something with the wonderful energy you are feeling!



My acupuncturist, Steven Sonmore, actually said at my first appointment that my spleen is 'damp.' “Picture a humid dank swamp,” he said. That must be why my body just feels unhealthy and clogged up. The acupuncture needles (expertly placed), the Chinese herbs I have been taking, along with my brand new eating habits, are changing my life!



It boggles my mind how sometimes he takes my pulse and can tell I have a headache! This man is really spot on about your health and he can TELL what's going on inside you without x-rays or invasive procedures! Chinese medicine is pretty much amazing! But the MOST amazing thing is… I have not been binge eating! I had been binge eating for months, maybe years! I also have not been eating after 8:00 at night as I usually did from 8:00 – 10:00 at night! Did I mention that I haven't had any cakes, cookies, donuts, ice cream or various heavenly delights? Even grocery shopping, I usually am compelled to purchase some yummy thing I see on display and I have been able to pass by my usual triggers! Now I believe that his needle stimulation is to help curb your appetite and cravings!



Dr. Steven Sonmore is an expert at all the nuances of acupuncture. I would come to Steven Sonmore for any ailment of condition I was concerned about because, frankly, I think he is the BEST! If you want the best and you want your acupuncturist to KNOW what he is doing and not just have taken a weekend class on the art of acupuncture, Steven Sonmore is your man! I absolutely LOVE the way I feel as a result he has given to me! If you have any doubts at all about acupuncture, consider having your first experience be at Complete Oriental Medical Care! It's undoubtedly one of the smartest decisions I ever made!

I came to Complete Oriental Medical Care seeking relief from moderate to severe Peripheral Neuropathy in my lower legs. I had been tested by neurologists for every medical reason for the neuropathy and all tests came back negative. My diagnosis from them was Idiopathic (undiagnosed) Peripheral Neuropathy. This occurs as we age and the only treatments for relief from pain-numbness are rather severe western medicines (anti-seizure drugs).



I decided to seek another form of treatment and thankfully found complete Oriental Medical Care. After the very first treatment from Steven I began to feel relief from the pain, numbness and burning-tingling in my lower legs. As an added bonus I experienced an overall sense of well-being and oneness with the world and myself!!



Steven’s vast knowledge and experience combined with his calm serene manner have made this a very rewarding experience leading to better health and a new convert to the power of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Now my monthly acupuncture treatment with Steven Sonmore is a routine of de-stressing my hectic life. His specific therapy always makes me feel refreshed, rejuvenated. These good feelings are like coming back from a vacation but not costly.



I started acupuncture with Steven since three years ago because of my nasty back pain and stress. He addressed the pain within two months and meanwhile, I have found myself more time of relaxation but not anxiety, the depressed feeling was gone. I also have found myself more fun in my family and office. Then, I decided to have a regular maintenance.
