My brother recommended Dr. Bowker to me. At first he was very reasonable in price. He must have huge debts as his prices have skyrocketed. What had been a $35 thyroid test is now $76. It was lucky I had taken her to another vet because he did not even diagnose the thyroid problem. My sister in law had a cat who had teeth problem Dr. Bowker said it was bad mouth chemistry. She took the cat to another vet that diagnosed thyroid disease of long standing. Last year I bought Frontline from him. I paid $186 for my dogs for a year. Filled out the coupon and mailed it in. Never did get the free Frontline. I called the vet's office and was told the company is slow in getting it out and to just wait. It has been over a year and Dr. Bowker will not even return my calls. I then called Merial the company that makes it. I was told it was up to the vet if he were going to give me the "free" Frontline. Frankly I think that is collaborating with theft from clients. I am seriously considering filing as lawsuit to prevent others from going through the hassles I have been through. He may think he needs the money; but I have multiple sclerosis and had to take early retirement because of this disease. I take in $11,000/year. Just beware of this vet.

Positive experience. First-time visit for a sick chihuahua and staff was able to schedule us at the end of the day. Dr. Bowker was kind and gentle while administering antibiotic injections. Sent us home with meds and instructions for care.

I scheduled an appointment to have my female aussie spayed. I dropped her off on my way to work. Never heard a word. Stopped to pick her up (had my two year old son with me) and they brought her out in a garbage bag. Now this is a large dog and should not of had any problems with the anathesia. Try explaining that to a two year old.

I've been going to this clinic for years. The first time I went there was on Easter Sunday, in the evening, after my greyhound laid open his hip, requiring many stitches. Dr. Bowker didn't know me from Adam and told me to bring him in to the office. He repaired the injury, gave me antibiotics and the bill was most reasonable. To this day, I am in awe that he helped me out on a holiday weekend when other vets would only send you to the ER. He is a good vet, even if he isn't a people person. He can be gruff as can his staff, but he's honest & does a good job.

Contrary to what others may have said, we have been using Dr. Bowker and Edgwood Animal Clinic for several years and wouldn't go anywhere else. He has been there after office hours, when our oldr dogs passed and has never charged for unnecissary procedures. The receptionaist can be a little course at times and Dr. Bowker is not a "people" person, but he has an uncanny love for dogs. I was shocked to read the experience of another person that was so negative. The way they treated our 16 year old Husky when he was in his last days won me as a customer for life. I love the East Mountains and Edgewood Animal Clinic is a great small town vet for a rural community that loves animals.

I had to bring my animal for an illness. The veterinarian did no physical examination only determined by my discussion the diagnosis of my animal's illness. Paid $96.00 for this. Following day had to call the Vet back to discuss the diagnosis of bladder infection and why blood would be dripping from her nose. This time was told to come by and pick up injection to give to dog due to rat poisoning. Asked if they could look at her and there was no need to. I took her in anyway and told the Vet I wanted her physically examined as I was not going to keep paying for pills and such when that doesn't appear to be solving the ailment. The vet indicated she has a cut in her nose and that it would heal. Here we are 2 days later and the bleeding has worsened. I am not about to take my dog back to this so-called Vet. He has no apparent concern for the animals suffering or inconvience as well my own. None of the staff is very friendly either. They act like you are bothering them. Define
