My experience with best built chimney and roofing company could not of went better the work was done to my Satisfaction and the city inspector passed the job I call best built chimney and roofing every time I need work done my chimney was done my roof and brand new one and a front porch cap the company was very professional talked me through each step of the job and explained how the job would be done great work thank you best built chimney and roofing Tonya Smith

Dennis Cole - Best Built Chimney and Roofing Company- somewhat of a shady contractor, 30 years in the business supposedly, was contracted to do work on my duplex in Detroit. Chimney liner (Results Good).
Tuck-Pointing (Very Poor - like he's never done Tuck Pointing Before); He didn't color match the mortar to the color between the brick, instead he had it colored a RED color looking totally out of place, also other tuck pointing mortar is grey. The original mortar was kind of a sandy/grey color.. They missed a number of places that needed tuck-pointing.
They replaced the cement steps and the side brick stantions coming out from the porch (Just OK) but did not bring the brick out to the end of the steps as it was before. The caps of the side portions of the steps/porch were not put back together as they were before, but overall functional.
They also painted the upper unit Alimnum Siding, BUT, the overspray from the white paint went on parts of roof and brick and cement and back security door.
He won't answer my phone calls, voice mail, email, or text messages to come back and clean up the White Paint Overspray on my Brick, on my Security Back Door of Lower Unit; on the Electrical Meter; On the Cement back of the house where the Aluminum siding comes down to the ground. He's been paid for the whole job and stated that he'd have all this work done by the time I got back from DENVER, but it wasn't done and he refuses to compete the tuck-pointing and clean up damage (Paint Overspray) to the roof, red brick, and cement driveway.
He also claims verbally and on his Chimney Service Order that he is BBB Accredited. I've contacted the BBB and he is not an Accredited BBB Business., which is false adertising.

I've got pictures of the White Paint overspray on my roof, brick, cement driveway, back security door, and Electric Meter..

I'm Taking Dennis Cole to Court
Dennis Cole doing business as Best Built Chimney and Roofing literally stole $1000.00 from me. Dennis had no crew, no tools, and had no intentions on starting the job. Dennis Cole dba Best Built Chimney & Roofing is a fraud. He is not license, he is not register with BBB, and Father and Sons Construction Company don’t know him. I contacted the cement company and was told Dennis Cole never placed an order. Dennis has changed his voice mail message and has not answered the phone since May 28, 2015.
Dennis made constant excuses and never started the work. He was supposed to do 3 jobs for me totaling $5000.00 but he ran off with $1000. He appears to be hard up for money. Do not give him money in advance. I demanded my money back and he had his one man crew take his finger and smear Morton on three cracks. He was supposed to tuck and point two porches. I don’t think he knows how to do the work. I’m taking him to court. If you have had a problem with Dennis Cole dba Best Built Chimney and Roofing please contact me 313 443 4745. People work had for their money and keeping their property up. It’s not right for a person like Dennis to come in your life and do wrong.
