Provided by YP.comChallis Buck, the chef and owner, can cook anything. You can get burgers & fries or a dish such as pan-seared ahi with chayote squash slaw. There is something for everyone. Excellent food. Very good prices. You won't be disappointed.
When we entered this cafe in the small town of Echo, Oregon we had no idea a master chef was going to prepare our food. What a surprise! In 2011 the East Oregonian newspaper did a write-up on Challis and her late husband Danny Besser. Read some of their story online. It's sad but inspiring.
The H & P Cafe is approximately two minutes from Interstate 84. Forget all about Denny's and McDonald's. This is the place to stop. You'll feel like you struck gold.
