My goal is to get to know each and every one of my patients. The doctor-patient relationship is one of the most important parts of developing a successful treatment strategy. Each patient is unique and a “one size fits all” formula does not exist in diagnosing and treating rheumatologic conditions. I am a rheumatologist at St Luke’s University Health Network. My practice is dedicated to the treatment of allmusculoskeletal, inflammatory rheumatologic conditions. As part of a dedicated multispecialty group including orthopedics, podiatry, physiatrist, physical and occupational therapy and rheumatology, my colleagues and I offer comprehensive care for any musculoskeletal condition, illness or injury. Prior to my joining St. Luke’s I was Chief of Rheumatology at Montefiore/Nyack Hospital in New York. I was also director of the outpatient rheumatology clinic at New York Downtown Hospitaland a clinical instructor in rheumatology at the NYU/Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York. I am also adjunct faculty at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine where I teach first and second year medical students. Outside of work my hobbies include teaching, playing tennis, skiing, hiking and traveling. I also enjoy spending time with my family and two daughters.

excellent diagnostician

Overall with Dr. Oliver my experience was Great! However, there is a long wait time in the "waiting room" unfortunately. Once I get into the office with Dr. Kurucz he is very generous with his time, and explaining the diagnosis plan for treatment and listened attentively to my concerns.

Mr. W. Nicholas

I was vey impressed with the doctors knowledge and treatment options he offered. The only caveat-make an appointment on in advance and keep existing ones-since the doctor works in manhattan as well and has a huge practice he is in demand-so appointment ease is tough at times.

Dr. Kurucz was excellent at diagnosis my problem and addressing questions. make sure you are on time as he runs a tight ship. Most doctors make you wait-Dr. Kurucz does not. Highly recommended.
