I believe that providing care for patients should be a collaborative effort that includes not only colleagues but patients as well. I seek to educate them about rheumatic disease and treatment plans by listening to their concerns and answering their questions. Open communications with patients strengthens the doctor-patient relationship so that my patients can be a full participant in their health care. I encourage patients to take ownership of their disease and learn as much as they can about their conditions and the medications used to treat them. As part of St. Luke’s Rheumatology Associates, I treat a wide array of rheumatic diseases, complex rheumatic conditions and their clinical presentations. Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, I completed completed my medical education at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and my internal medicine training at St. Luke's before finishing my specialty training in rheumatology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Outside of work, I enjoy reading fiction, cooking and spending time with my husband and dog.
