The Rug Importer was established over 30 years ago and has a revered reputation in the Oriental rug and carpeting industry for quality products, great prices, and satisfied customers. The Rug Importer began in 1979 when Tariq Qari came to America with a van full of beautiful imported rugs from all over the globe. He traveled the country stopping at every local rug store he could, selling rugs and building a name in the rug industry. Today Tariq, and his best friend and partner Syed Hussaini, vice president of The Rug Importer, are using that same time-tested formula of beautiful products and hard work to ensure our customers are outrageously happy with their rugs and carpeting.
