Ugh, it's my second time here, but when will I learn? I got the stockade fence I wanted, but not until they'd sold me the piece he assured me was "exactly like it", even after I'd told him, "no, they are not all the same, this one is not even close to the same". 31 pickets in 8 feet are 20% wider than 38 pickets in 8 feet. After a lot of eye rolling and ignoring, I got someone to find the, apparently, only piece that was actually "the same". Yecch.

Awful organization. Called several times while waiting for a callback from a sales rep. Finally get in to touch with someone, only to find our it's 2 weeks just to get an estimate, and no small jobs? Business must be good, but I'm at a loss for why. I recommend finding another company that's more customer centric, because these guys don't need your business.

We only needed 30 feet of fence in our backyard and our only requirement was to match - as closely as possible - our neighbor's adjoining fence. We asked three companies to provide us estimates, including GM Fence, and here's how they stacked up: Company A couldn't match the fence, Company B could match the fence but never called me back to match GM Fence's price (even after several phone calls from us), so we choose GM by default. Our biggest complaint was the amount of time it took from the time we sent in a check for 50% of the deposit to the time they actually confirmed a day to install the fence. It was a good 3 - 4 weeks, and it took several phone calls of nagging before they finally committed to a day / time. They told us since our job was small they wanted to pair it up with another job in the area, which is understandable, except they should have mentioned that before we signed the contract and given us a more definitive timeframe. The guys who installed the fence were on time and were agreeable about removing the old fence's concrete posts in the ground (which was in our revised contract that GM did NOT share with them). Not a big deal, although we had to wonder if every contractor they use would have been as agreeable. The workmanship and quality of materials was good and the match for the adjoining fence was spot on as promised. They also stuck to the estimate they originally provided us. Overall, aside from the start date hiccup, we were happy with the experience and would recommend GM Fence if you are looking for an established company that offers competitive pricing and a wide array of fencing options.
