My company, Brees Mantels, provides the mantles for Vicars' homes. Ryan is a great guy to work with. He is clear with me on what he wants, provides appropriate spacing for our product, gives good lead time, and pays his bills on time. The homes aren't finished when I'm there, but everything looks as it should for a work in progress.

We were very pleased with the home VC Built for us. I was very impressed with their professionalism and how smooth everything went. VC is a exceptional builder and I will recommend them to anyone needing a builder.

I wrote a detailed review on another site that the builder is working hard to dispute. They claim that my statements are false. I have nothing to gain by lying about them, so what I have said in my reviews are NOT false.
The builder was constantly making excuses for delays during construction. There were periods where hardly any work was done. It took six months for them to build a small 576 sq. ft. house with a tiny utility room. One incident really infuriated me though. The project manager told me to my face that they had put insulation behind the tub, but when the inspector came out he failed the inspection. Here's why: the inspector had pulled back the moisture barrier and there was no insulation between the studs. I brought this up to the builder during one of the few times he was at the job site and the builder gave no apologies for the lie I had been told, nor the delay in work. He only complained about the inspector. It was apparent at this point that any concerns were going to fall on deaf ears with him.
After construction was complete and I had texted the builder to let him know that the final inspection had passed, the only response I got was that he would have the secretary send over the final invoice. He wanted his money, yet had no time to say thank you or that he hoped we were happy with our new home. No one ever came out before or after the final inspection to make sure everything was good.
There were other things that bothered my husband and me like the roofer running out of roofing paper and saying he could use an old tarp in our yard instead, the fact that the builder told me that duct work in a closet didn't need to be closed in, asking the builder numerous times an estimated date of completion and always hearing "I don't know".
Finally, if you decide to have Vicars build your home, please be sure to get an estimated completion date in your contract. I wish we had done that, but hindsight is 20/20. Don't take them at their word for anything!

We bought an older home and VC completely gutted the inside. We were very pleased and appreciated their suggestions that we would not have thought of. The molding is beautiful along with everything else. The next year we had them back to reface the outside and redo the landscaping. Our neighbors could not believe it was the same house. It was also done in a timely manner.

Vicars Construction was great to work with. They are very professional and extremely talented. They went above and beyond to make the building process a pleasant one. We absolutely love the beautiful home they built for us. I will definitely recommend Vicars Construction to anyone looking for a professional, honest builder who does impeccable work!
