This medical office is very unprofessional. I had a front office assistant tell me that I should just MOVE IN because I was coming there so often. I had a nurse SLAM THE DOOR when she walked out, because I questioned her about not calling me back, when I left a message the day before. One of the doctors that offered to see me after hours interrupted me 10 minutes into the visit. She told me that she needed to put up some boundaries, because she had a family to go home to and I needed to just trust her. Evidently, I had too many questions and it was making her upset because she "had been there since 7am". I informed her that I understood she had a family that she wanted to go home to, however my medical health concerns needed to be answered and taken care of so that I too could take care of my family.

My entire family has been patients of this practice for over 20 years. We have never had any real complaints until recently. My boyfriend (a new patient) was billed a $100 fee for "no-show" when I personally called to reschedule it. During this phone call, there was never any mention of a $100 fee. He attended the rescheduled appointment a couple of weeks later and still no one mentioned the $100 fee. Now, well over a month later... he received an invoice in the mail for $100 out of nowhere. I have called and left over 5 voicemails for the office manager and she can't be bothered to return my calls. Instead, she has Nikki call me to inform me (in a very condescending way) that the $100 will not be waived even though nothing like this has ever happened before (1st time occurrence.) Not only that but Nikki implied and insinuated that my family was on Medicaid (which even if we were... so what?) but we aren't (we have BCBS). She was insulting and offensive. I am very disappointed that after so many years, this is how they have treated me. I could care less about the $100 fee at this point... it's the principle and the way they have handled it. It's unfortunate but after 20+ years, my family will no longer be patients of this practice. Be aware of their poor business ethics and practices.

One of the older doctors, who no longer practices here missed my brain tumor and with earlier detection, I know I would have better outcome. Despite having symptoms for over 6 months, Dr. Barko treated my with different medicines and told me it was a "sinus headache" or a "tension headache" or a migraine. It was not until I left the practice and when to another physician who on the first day ordered a brain scan abd my brain tumor detected and later removed by a great neurosurgeon.



He no longer practices here for some time, but practices somewhere else now. I did not persue any legal lawsuits for several reasons. I am in my 60's now but several friends still go to this very old family practice because they have gone there for years, but they are not overall satified. I found Dr. Barko to be just not very thorough and quick to (mis)diagnose.

This is the worst practice in town. Their billing Dept. is rude AND incompetent. I have insurance and their inept billing dept. got me reported to the credit agencies for THEIR mistake, My bills are always paid in full, but they did not submit to my insurance until 8 months after my procedure. Which I am still having problem with to this day. Avoid. You would get better, more compassionate care at a free clinic.

I wish I could give them negative stars. THEY ARE THE WORST! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
