Nice quaint bar/restaurant, great food, great prices, they recently celebrated 50 years in business, but the food quality and choices have really improved over the last (2) years.
Great Chicken Francaise, NY Strip steak, Shrimp Scampi at great prices.
The bartenders and servers are very attentive to customers needs.
Movie theater next door plays mostly pg and g rated movies, and you can order meals and drinks from the bar.
most Saturday nights, there is live music at the bar.

This place get's a five star from me. It is the quintessential NJ blue collar bar - a dying breed. If you are a regular at an Applebee's somewhere (not that there's anything wrong with that), this is not the place for you. But if you like a joint with character, this is it. Cold beer, shots, great food and pool tables in the back. And here is the really cool thing - there is pizza place right next door. If you order pizza, that's where it comes from. But wait, that's not all. Physically conjoined with the bar - that means you can walk through from one to the other without going outside - is the Dunellen Theater, showing one film at a time. My cousin took me to see Prince Valiant there in 1957. Seriously. I've been there when someone came into the bar, got a picher of beer and brought it into the theatre. How cool is that? I think you can even bring pizza and other food into the theatre.



Almost forgot - Brandy new, upscale bathroom. No kiddin' Don't you spend a fair amount of time in a bar's bathroom? I do.



Ate the Italian hot dog, drank the beer, bought the T-Shirt. Go there!
