Mease Manor waited 7 hours to call for emergency help for my mother the day she had her 5th stroke . On July 13th the second floor assisted living nurse Annette called me at about 10 am in a very annoyed tone stating she found my mom sitting in her pj outside the nurses station at 5 am not making any sense that my mom needed to see a doctor . When I got to my mom she collapsed in my my arms she had had a stroke she did not need to see a doctor she needed to be in the hospital hours earlier . There was absolutley no excuse the hospital was not called at 5 am when the nurse saw my mom disoriented. The ambulance was not called until 11:59 am . I also found out they gave my mother a shower in this state My poor mother suffered from their ignorance and neglect . Grace the assistant to the administrator was covering up. When the ambulance arrived they were wondering why they were not called sooner she said that Mease and the family decided to call when we did because my mom has had several siezures and snapped out of it ..family was not notified properly family would of had her rushed to the hospital at 5 am this is not a time for what ifs . I met with Mary Kay the adminstrator when I stressed my concerns had a oh well attitude . She would have a different attitude if it was her family member neglected in this manner Nurse . Annette threw away scripts written by the doctor . She wanted me to sign a DNR for my mom I refused she told me if I did not one day my mom would have a massive stroke one day be left as a vegetable with no quality of life stating then I will really hate myself .. I feel that nurse wanted that to happen . My mom is visually impaired and is here in body but not mind ..she is a sweet spirit now left with no quality of life . As long as Nurse Annette is involved don't trust your loved one in her care .
