The bartender was just rude, and defined 'unprofessional' .

Being a new local, I was happy to see the good deals at this establishment. But, isn't there always a catch? Well in this case, YEP.

On my 2 out of 3 visits I encountered a bar tender, someone another patron called Aime. No idea if that is accurate. Aime was kind of hot looking, perhaps 40 ish, but, the attention random drunks gave here went right to her head.

So, here is the deal... When this woman only serves the people who are half her age, who she so very obviously wants to get with, and it's so obvious that people I have never meet start commenting on it, what you have my friendly bar owner is what people in my industry (bar and restaurant consulting) call a problem.

Once it was busy, the other time it was not.

Without drawing attention to myself, (Because I didn't want to get barked at with a string of shallow insults and profanity like she did to the poor guy next to me.) I attempted to signal her by shaking my empty cup, that had been empty for a while when she looked my way. She gave me the stink eye like I was interrupting her from more important things, reluctantly I got what I asked for, then went back to ignoring me, and basically anyone over the age of 25.

Now, as anyone who knows the business knows, the guys with the money literally sitting at the bar, with money on the bar, and the empty cup, who might be back several times, take president over the super studs who are there for a one night event.

She could have served us, but made an obvious choice not to.

In her mind, we were taking up space that the eye candy could have been occupying.

Then it was, I guess my turn to be insulted, again, because I wasn't her type. She barked at me and said "I hope you don't want more if you are just going to talk shyte about me."

My rebuttal was... I am surprised you are paying attention.

And even though I had only 3 drinks in a two hour period, was absolutely not over served, was disrespectful to none of the other patrons, essentially kept to myself, and was watching a basketball game on TV, I was rudely asked to leave.

Now, normally I get paid to give advice about an establishment, but for you, the owner of this place, I'll give you this for free.

You have a problem. This isn't about opinion, it's about business. That bartender needs to go.

And to potential patrons, if you go there and Aime is there, just go elsewhere. There are several good spots in Dunedin that have great people who would be happy to serve you. It really is a great town.

My other observation is that Aime made a great drink, too bad it came with such a tremendous attitude.
