As a first time customer Sugar Salon exceeded my expectations. The owner is kind, professional and knowledgeable. The managing stylist Lisa did an amazing job on my hair. I recommend the salon to anyone seeking healthy and beautiful hair styling.

I am the Owner of Sugar Salon and didn't even realize that these negative reviews were here until a client informed me. I set this YP account up years ago when I first opened in 2008 and don't remember the log in info, so had to set up a new account to address these reviews. I as a Business Owner first find it very disheartening that someone would go online and write an online review that is: unfair, untrue and where there was never any complaint made to me or my salon team.



The review written in 9/2009 seems to be written by a disgruntled former team member. This is definitely a untruth, because anyone who knows me, knows that I care about my salon team, as well as any client who graces my doors. It would behoove me to do so if I wanted to remain in business. I have survived the recession of 2008 by caring about clients and by building a strong brand.



The review written in 7/2013 is also untrue. My salon team cares about the service times of clients; I do not want any client sitting in the salon all day long. Therefore we have structure at Sugar Salon, whereby natural hair clients are draped and detangled by our Assistants, so that the hair will not be tangled, matted up or "torn through" as this person stated. I am the Owner and I too have natural hair, I take pride in the fact that my team is trained to detangle natural hair prior to shampooing the hair to avoid matting, breakage and suchlike And we also do a pre-poo and this is all done at no extra cost to the client. This is because we care about natural hair clients and in all honestly, everyone on my salon team has natural hair.



The review from 2/2013 is also untrue; I have never ever burned anyone's face. And do you think that someone who got their face burned would be writing an online review? I think they would be doing more than that. And I would also like to add that being that I opened up as a new salon, under a brand new name (Sugar Salon) that nobody had ever heard of. And the recession started two months after I opened and Sugar Salon has survived, that should be a testament of the great service that we give or we would have closed down months after opening. I am appalled at how anyone would write a negative online review about any: salon, restaurant etc, without giving the Business Owner an opportunity to rectify or address the matter with you first. And to go online to write untruths about my salon or any other salon, is a disgrace. I take my hat off to all the Business Owners and other Salon Owners who have to deal with untruths like this and still manage to build a fabulous brand and come out blessed and ahead. I've been to this salon twice so far and I will go back. I was greeted, salon was very clean, atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing; no drama. The Stylist introduced herself and introduced me to the Assistant. The Assistant detangled my hair because my hair is natural and the shampoo was great. I really enjoyed my visit from beginning to end and they seem to really appreciate their clients, they gave me a free steam hydration and I like that they are open on Monday's. I will go back and will refer several of my friends.

I went to this salon for the first time and was very pleased. I read these reviews, along with several other reviews and found that the majority of reviews were very positive. I am a woman and know that some time we as women can embellish things and not give an honest review. And being that this salon has been around for years, I decided to give it a try. I found it to be very clean, a professional staff and saw that they use nothing but top of the line products. And being that I was driving all the way South of Atlanta, I was very pleased to find a professional salon that specializes in natural hair and I found them to be very patient with my natural hair. I was also glad to see that they have Assistants who co-wash, detangle and shampoo the hair, which means that you are not waiting for long periods of time to be serviced. I would definitely recommend this to all the Natural Hair Diva's like me; excellent salon!

Not for those with natural hair!



No patience for those with tightly-coiled hair. They tore through my hair and broke it off after tangling it during the shampoo. I was supposed to have my hair done by the owner but she (and she told me this herself) took one look at my thick, extremely curly hair, and told another stylist to do the wash and blow-dry. NEVER AGAIN!

I had almost given up on hair salons completely (convinced my hair would stay dry and densely packed). But, then I found Hi-Texture Salon. They are awesome! My hair is so soft and manageable after one conditioning treatment. They actually care.

Stay away from the Sugar Salon, it's all Salt!

if you have healthy hair don't go there. the owner burned me on my face one time and the one person they manage to keep does a rush job and knows nothing about adding moisture back into hair and styles are old fashion.

A shady salon who goes on webpages and writes their own reviews. The service is something you can get at a beauty school. They charge high prices for low quality services. The owner does not care about other stylists or clients, as long as the money rolls in. This salon is shady and manipulate, thats why you never hear of them. Get your hair cut at great clips or super cuts. You get what you pay for there.

This is a great salon that offers many services. It's one stop shopping, get your hair done, get a manicure/pedicure, and get a massage. How great is that? Owner/Stylist M. Williams is fantastic, she cares about her clients and her staff and it shows. They are all professionals who are knowledgeable about their craft and take pride in their work. I am so glad I found them. If you are looking for a new stylist make sure you give the Sugar Salon a try.

I moved to Georgia 6 years ago and I had a hard time finding a multi-ethnic salon and stylist that I really liked. Salon owner and stylist M. Williams is the only stylist I have found that provides a clean, professional, and inviting environment. The salon is in a perfect location for me, it is half way between work and home. I know I will be in and out as the staff respects your time and how little of it some of us have to spare. M. Williams has educated me about my particular type of hair and what I need to do to promote healthy hair. The salon experience is always enjoyable and I always feel refreshed and relaxed when I leave for home. It is really hard to find that type of service. If you are in need of a hair vacation contact the Sugar Salon immediately, your hair will thank you.

I received a service for the first time and this salon and I was well pleased with the convenient location, the service, the cleanliness of the salon and more. I have been going to Stone Mountain to receive my salon services and so it is good to have an ethnic salon near to where I live. I would definitely recommend this salon to others.
