BEST FOOD IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA!!!!



There are two Oriental restuarants near us, one that we order from all the time and another one that we order from, well, never. We always order from Chinn’s. The food is simply terrific! We never order from China Palace. It had been so long, I kind of forgot why. I was rudely reminded of exactly why recently The food is WAY better at Chinn's with much larger portions, Chinn's is less expensive AND Chinn's offers home delivery. The one and only reason I even dealt with China Palace at all recently was because when I called Chinn's to place an order, I was informed that due to car problems, their delivery guy was not able to work that night. Hey, stuff happens, right? This was the one and only time this ever happened in MANY years of timely deliveries. So I called China Palace (who does NOT deliver but is a shorter drive for me to pick up) and I ordered the same exact thing we always order from Chinn's. First, let me mention the price. China Palace wanted $25.95 where Chinn's would have charged me $19.75. THAT IS $6.25 MORE! OUCH! Next, not only was the food from China Palace of poor quality (translate as tough, thin little Egg Foo Young and bland, near-colorless, near-flavorless fried rice) but the China Palace portion size was a joke. At Chinn's, a large order of Egg Foo Young consists of four, massive patties which fill to near-bursting not one but TWO large containers with two barely fitting into one container. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING! But if you make the mistake of ordering a large order of Egg Foo Young from China Palace, what you get is a total of five flat, tough, darkened little patties (and I am totally serious here) but ALL FIVE OF THEM FIT EASILY INTO JUST ONE OF THOSE SAME LARGE CONTAINERS!!! UNBELIEVABLE. This is a no brainer. If you want to pay far more for less food of poor quality, go ahead and deal with China Palace but don't say I didn't warn you. However, if you want great food with large portions at a great price CALL CHINN'S RESTUARANT at 708-849-3333. Call Chinn's and I promise you will not be disappointed. Call China Palace and you'll have no one to blame but yourself and you'll deserve what you get. Even if I live to be a hundred, I promise you I will never deal with China Palace ever again.
