Thank you Walter Garvock for refinishing the very worn wooden floors in our 1886 Victorian cottage in Galveston. We know the job was a challenge but you were up to the task, first replacing a few boards that you had to fabricate to match. We know the job was challenge, but you persevered and treated this project as though it was in your own home. Many thanks! Well done!

Walt Garvock demolished and then remodeled two bathrooms for us. His services included tile work, plumbing, electrical, and painting. He did an excellent job on everything and we have received many compliments on the finished bathrooms. He

is dependable, professional, and very fair on his bids for the projects. Also, he always

showed up on time and worked diligently throughout the day. We would not hesitate to

use his services again and would recommend him to friends and family.

Door Repair. We have had a long term problem with a historical wooden door (our front door) that continued to sag at the hinges and needed constant repair and realignment. I had met Walt previousy and was most impressed that he was a third generation carpenter and had extensive experience in working with historic homes. I called Walt and he turned up promptly, assessed the situation, and provided a practical solution. We then set a date to commence the job. Once again Walt turned up promptly. Prior to commencing the job Walt confimed our requirements and provided us with a written statememt outlining the work he would perform. Walt then completed the job in the timeframe he had identified and for the price quoted. In addition, Walt provided a historic doorbell for the door (from his own collection) and replaced the existing broken door bell. Furthermore, he replaced the original historic locking mechanism within the door (that was broken) from within his own collection of spare parts. Both of these tasks were done by Walt as part of the service he provided. We were very happy with the work Walt performed and would not hesitate to recommend him. My experience has been that good reliable tradesman can be hard to find, we will use him again.

Excellent work, very reasonable prices. Very professional. Walt showed up when he said he would and performed the work just as promised. I would highly recommend him.

Refinished 5 rooms in a 60 year old house I'm making ready for sale. Mr. Garvock did not cut corners and took the time to do the job right. The floors are beautiful, I'm very pleased with the results. I would not hesitate to hire Mr. Garvock for future projects.

mr. garvock is very punctual , reliable, professional, & personable...i am more than pleased with the work that was done...he tore out the floor & baseboard down to the concrete sub floor, repaired, sealed, & prepped concrete for installation of porcelain tile finished floor & custom baseboard...i will most cettainly have him back for other projects that are needed in my home...

Walt did an excellent job of installing hardwood floors in our home. Fast, effecient and very reasonable

We called him because we had several of the 13 inch tiles in our kitchen that were cracked. We wanted him to replace the cracked tiles. After he removed a few tiles he determined that the tiles were cracking because water had seeped under them. We finally track the problem to a small leak in the water line to our refrigerator. Once we realized the problem, we understood that more tiles would probably crack in the future. After discussing our options with Walt, we decided to remove all of the tiles and install a Pergo floor. Walt was willing and able to complete the entire job over the next couple of days. This was great because it allowed us to avoid any more delay or inconvenience.



We are completely happy with our new kitchen floor. We would recommend Walt to anyone that is looking for quality work at a reasonable price.

Walt has done several repair/carpentry jobs outside and inside my home (windows, doors, closet/wall rennovations). He lives up to "pleasing the customer" and consistently makes things right. Extremely dependable and attentive to detail. I finally found someone who I can trust in my home. Highly recommend him,

After the storm, Mr. Garvock made some excellent repairs to our fences, gates, and kitchen cabinets. We were pleased with his work and hope to use him again if we have a problem. He has also repaired some antique chairs for us.
