They go above and beyond with helping animals. I have rats and guinea pigs, and its hard to find a vet that knows those animals and what they're talking about. After the first visit with my rattie, I trusted this vet completely with her care! (and i'm a very protective owner who does reesearch on every medication and treatment!) he knows his stuff!

I recently tried Dr. Anderson's office and I will never take my pets anywhere else. From the phone call to schedule our appointment to leaving the office, Dr. Anderson and his staff where so caring and helpful. They took time to listen to my concerns and were able to get my dog in the same day. The Dr. spent a lot of time with me and my dog which was much appreciated. He explained our options and wasn't pushy with trying to sell me things. Their office also explained payment options like CareCredit. And their prices are very reasonable. I've been to many vets and owned a lot of animals and I would recommend this place to everyone. Dr. Anderson also does a lot of work for shelter and rescue programs, he truly cares about animals.

I have 9 cats,4 dogs,2 bird,1rabbit and a chinchilla. Dr.Anderson has been great with them all. When it was time for us to make the decision to let our senior dogs go Dr anderson made it much easier with his compassion.

Not only are they great with the animals in their care, but they are dedicated to helping rescue animals. I recommend them 100%

Dr. Anderson seem to be a compassionant man with a wonderful sense of humor. Just remember everyone can make mistakes, it"s the ones who learn from it, that make the world worth living in. I've been going to Dr. Anderson for several years now. He has always explained what he is doing & why. His staff is very friendly & compassionate. My dog isn't afraid to go there & loves the attention they give him! I would recommend him to everyone! Thank you for keeping my pet healthy!

I adopted a cat from the ARL, and Dr. Anderson checked my cat over with the free certificate provided for free vet checkup within 3 business days from the ARL. He also provided a free application of Revolution for my cat. He gave my cat a rabies shot, which is all she needed and it only cost a minimal amount. I will certainly be returning to this clinic again.

I had been to 6 vets looking for one who knows chinchillas. He is the most competent of all of them. He knows what hes talking about and if he doesnt he'll tell you that he doesnt know. I trust him a great deal and dont plan on taking my animals anywhere else.

I took my puppy their for the last set of shots and a nail clipping, as a result my dog has blood blisters under some of his nails and is scared terribly of nail clippers and getting his nails trimmed. Also they got my other dogs' name wrong. They seemed very careless with my pets. Will not be going back!

Our wonderful ferret named Freddy became VERY lethargic and ill. I was extremely worried and wanted to bring him into Anderson during office hours on Saturday. The receptionist said they were full but I was determined to get him in fearing he wouldn't make it. I asked to speak directly to Dr. Anderson, and after describing Freddy's condition, he told me it could wait until Monday. I insisted that it was an emergency, since I knew my own pet. He was determined to wait until Monday. Freddy died right before going into surgery on Monday. If he would've listened to my desperate plea, Freddy could've had a chance. It was one of the saddest days ever. I will not trust my pets to a vet with poor judgment. In general, I understand that vets are human and can make mistakes, but it's just not worth gambling when the life of a beloved pet is on the line.

I have beeen volunteering at Anderson;s for several months now and I have never seen a dissatisfied costomer. THe clinic is kept well cleaned and offers a multitude of services, including room and board. I would reccomend it to anyone within the Des Moines area.

I have been taking my two Chihuahuas to Dr. Anderson since they were puppies. He does excellent work and really stands by his motto that each pet is as unique as its owner. Him and his staff are more than willing to make individual accommodations to make pets and owners feel more at ease with treatments surgery.

My 2 year old neutered male kitty I adopted from the ARL is very sick. Deadly sick with a urinary infection of sorts. I was referred to Dr. Anderson and at 8:30 this morning, I was able to get right in and they immediately started caring for my kitty. The staff are friendly and very caring. Easy to be seen as new patients.

I take my cats to Dr. Anderson. He is very friendly and comes highly recommended.
