I have learned my lesson about reading contracts before signing them thanks to Matrix Fitness & Spa. Last year I spent over $2,000.00 dollars on personal training sessions after a free consultation with a personal trainer. Shortly after getting a personal trainer, I moved over 30 miles (50 min in traffic) from the gym. I didn't attempt to cancel my personal training at that point as I was getting results. Shortly after that however, my trainer informed me that he was leaving the gym for reasons I wont get into here.



After his last day, I wanted to get refunded the remaining training sessions. I called the gym and Kami Bank's the gym's general manager informed me that my training was non refundable as stated in their contract. I told her to check the contract, as I told the personal trainer to add a sentence that if he left the gym, I would get any unused training sessions refunded. She told me it wasn't written on the contract, and that I could only use the remaining sessions.
