Horrendous Customer Service

Do not rent from this place!? We wish we had looked at the reviews before renting from here. The customer service was absolutely horrible! We have never experienced anything like it. Before reserving a car we called and asked if we could use a travel Visa card. They said we would have to use a credit card or our debit card (with a Visa logo) to hold our reservation but could use the travel Visa to pay when we arrived. When we arrived the customer service rep said we could not use the travel Visa and that we obviously did not speak to someone at Advantage. Irritated but not angrily my husband asked if she was calling him a liar. She flipped out and went to get her manager. We stood there shocked but figured maybe she had a bad day. The manager wasn't any better. After we gave in, my husband handed over our debit card and the manager said, "don't throw your card at me, sir." My husband said, "I didn't." It was unreal, we kept thinking we had to be on one of those prank shows. I wish I could say that was the end but it was just the beginning... They told us that our car would pull up in 5 minutes and that it was a Passat. After 20 minutes the car was brought up and we loaded our bags, two year old and three month old (read two clunky car seats) and headed for the gate. The guy at the gate took a look at our papers and told us he could not let us leave because we had the wrong car. We went back to the office where they told us that they accidentally gave us a premium car which we did not pay for so we needed to empty the Passat and take a Malibu. Grudgingly, we moved our bags and two hungry & tired kids to the Malibu. We asked to speak to the manager (new shift), explained the events, asked for a discount or something and the manager rudely said,? "I'm not giving you a discount," and walked away without even offering an apology. We could not believe it!? Flabbergasted we went to the gate where we were stopped AGAIN! Unbelievable! Guy said we had the wrong paperwork! Finally, the only considerate employee in the place came to the gate with us and told the guy to let us go. TWO HOURS after we arrived at Advantage we were finally on our way, where we hit traffic and ended up missing the first part of our conference. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!
