Founded in 1952, Jefferson County Public Library provides resources for information, education and recreation. It is one of the second largest libraries in the state of Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. Its library card is the key to a network of more than 10 libraries and a Bookmobile, which offer books, periodicals, CDs and DVDs, as well as computer and Internet resources. Jefferson County Public Library subscribes to over 65 electronic databases that contain information in a variety of areas from newspapers magazines, stock quotes and medical information . The library offers adventure for children and teenagers through storytimes, special programs and reading incentives. Jefferson County Public Library is located in Lakewood, Colo.
