Do your homework!

My home in Lakewood sustained damage in the 2009 hail storm. It seemed like over night roofers were all over my neighborhood. I actually caught one climbing my roof without my permission saying he we doing a “free inspection” that I didn’t request or want. I called CJ Roofing and 3 other contractors out to look at the roof and give me an estimate of the damages. Two of the other contractors only wanted to see my insurance paperwork and didn’t even look at the roof. Mark Becker actually got on a ladder and climbed the roof. He spent the time to go over his proposal with me and answered all my questions. The installers did a wonderful job and kept the project clean! I was amazed how much trash a roof project can make! The only thing that I can complain about is the time that it took to get to work on my house and how long the city took to get around to inspecting it. I Love my new roof and I am so happy I took the time to find a good contractor!

Bad attitude

The young man that claims to be the owner is by far the BIGGEST JERK I have ever worked with. He must have received this business from his dad or other family member. In my opinion there is now way he can continue to stay in business.I would NEVER do business with CJ Roofing again.

They called it right the Second Time Around but left us with the bill...

CJ Roofing has it's heart in the right place, but it's business practices are concerning. In our case, a very poor fix was followed up on after much angst and more damage. The follow-up re-do was well-done, but failed to price out when assessments were made by several other reputable companies that cross-checked their work. CJ Roofing failed to respond to the over-charges, retaining fully 1/3rd to 1/2 more than the job should have cost, in an equitable market. While they did complete the re-repair nicely, the company refused to refund any portion of the overcharges, which amounted to several hundred dollars, based on the cross-check estimates, and CJ Roofing failed to provide a new invoice delineating their services when requested. After 30 yrs in business, one would like to believe CJ Roofing has been successful based on quality work at fair pricing, and a willingness to solve problems not only with corrected repairs but with corrected charges. Sadly, this was not the case for us.
