Baker St is NOT downtown--that's a great thing

I have been a patron of Baker St Pub for almost 6 years. the great thing about it is simply this--it is not part of downtown. It caters to locals and people looking for a scene that is not rife with cover charges, police, and crowding. Yes, Friday nights get a little nuts, but that is going to be anywhere. The food is usually very yummy, service is great, and the bands are entertaining. There's also foosball, pool, darts, and a few video games to occupy those who need a relief from the music if necessary. Some previous commentors have said that it is "standing room only". Yes, but not every night. They always have a great atmosphere, warm fireplace on the patio, friendly and might I add attentive staff, and decent drink specials. Their prices may be a little higher than some places, but I am willing to travel to the suburbs for a better atmosphere even if that means my drink is one dollar more. At least I know I will have a great time, which is more than I can say for most of the establishments down town.

Social Profiling

Well, just got 86'ed for LIFE after after being a loyal customer for almost 3 years. Not a punch thrown, or taken. No verbal sparring. Not once crashed into the band, threw up, spilled a drink, missed the urinal or bumped into anyone. Their reason; I stand too close to people. I've heard of others being given the boot for mysterious reasons. Guess the stories are true.
