The Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado has been promoting Jewish traditions for more than 50 years. It raises funds to provide food, health care services and education to needy people living in Colorado and to several Jews in Israel and around the world. The federation works with the help of its overseas beneficiary agencies, including the Jewish Agency for Israel and the American Joint Distribution Committee. The Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado operates a resource center that provides access to community services. Its national and overseas center advocates social and public policy positions and allocates funds for Israel programs. The federation also maintains a philanthropy center that raises money to enable local agencies to provide social support and make Jewish education readily available. Located in Denver, the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado additionally operates a women s campaign and serves various agencies, such as Adventure Rabbi, Allied Jewish Senior Housing, Congregation Emanuel and Community Talmud Torah.
