This is without a doubt the absolute WORST apartment complex I have ever stayed at or dealt with in my life. The rent is incredibly high and they will try their best to squeeze any extra money out of you that they can. At the beginning of the school year, the fire alarms went off everyday and they promised to "catch the criminal pulling them". I highly doubt they had someone pulling it everyday, and if they did, with the money they are sucking out of their renters, they could easily afford to put some cameras out to stop it altogether. But low and behold, after an entire lease agreement is almost up, the fire alarms still go off nearly once a week, sometimes for incredibly long periods. They will tow you out of the garage for no reason whatsoever, happened to myself and some friends. Their gate system is incredibly stupid, and if your gate remote goes out, you're out of luck because its the only way to get in and half of the staff doesn't know how to replace it. The Internet will constantly go out as well for no apparent given reason. The foundation is horrible, for the longest time I couldn't even close my door, and had to have someone come to my room twice to fix it. There are constantly broken lights in the hallway. I could keep going here for a while guys, but my point is, please for the love of god, do not move into this place. It is such a horrible experience and I would never wish this upon any student hoping to feel at home and be able to achieve what they need to without feeling incredibly frustrated with their home. DON'T. SIGN. THIS LEASE.

Looks are deceiving! Great location and nice looking apartments, but management is terrible and are inconsistent! After almost six months they still have issues and overlook small details. Prices and experience do not match and cannot wait to move out.

The sterling is trying their hardest to strive for a terrible reputation. The furnished four bedroom apartments have a tv that is positioned 45 degrees from the door which makes it hard to watch from anywhere in the room, in addition there is no place to put the cable box, or any other sort of tv device (such as an xbox, ps3, etc) without risking it being destroyed when someone walks in the back door and doesn't make a direct effort to avoid it. Any maintenance no matter how minor or major will take at weeks at best to fix, (it took them 10 weeks to fix a fire alarm in our apartment after putting in a work order once a week since school started). The staff is severely incompetent and half the time don't actually submit the work orders you give them. The fire alarms go off constantly (nearly every night sometimes for upwards of an hour) and they claimed that it was someone pulling them, when in reality they were lying to cover up a flaw in the alarm system itself. In fact they are in the process of being sued by a girl who pulled the fire alarm after a fire started in her apartment, and after doing so no alarms went off because the staff disabled the whole system. The desks are a complete joke mine broke under the weight of a textbook, twice, and I'm still waiting for them to replace it after 6 weeks. I could literally go on for hours about the poor customer service and the poor quality of the apartments themselves, but the most aggravating thing about these apartments is THERE ARE COPS EVERYWHERE, YET FOR SOME REASON EVERYTHING IS STILL VANDALIZED AND STOLEN. Its literally like paying to live in a prison and continue to have your things stolen and vandalized. These apartments will exponentially raise any stress you think your saving yourself by living close to campus. I'd prefer to comute from an hour away if I didn't stupidly sign the lease when I moved in.... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Avoid this place like the plague. These people are liars and money hungry. They do not care who you are, they just want your money and have no skills to run an apartment community. Major thefts, broken gates, filthy and smelly hallways, broken appliances, no maintenance for weeks, no security, no safety, nonstop fire alarms, noise all around, money hungry, scam artist. They take full advantage of students. There are a bunch of idiots working in the office who have no clue on how to do simple things. Run far as you can.

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! RUN, do NOT walk from this apartment complex. Fire alarm has gone off around 3:00 AM nearly every night since move in, work orders ignored for weeks at a time, elevator smells like a dead animal, filthy hallways, filthy, smelly parking garage with strange things growing in it, trash not picked up or taken out for weeks at a time, and management that REFUSES to address any problem and is NEVER available. This place SUCKS! It has to be the most poorly run apartment complex in all of Denton!!
