Based in Delray Beach, Fla., The Florida Department of Corrections (DC) is one of the largest state prison systems in the country. The departments has 146 facilities statewide, including 62 prisons, 46 work/forestry camps, one treatment center, 33 work release centers and five road prisons. Moreover, it has around 156 Probation and Parole Field Service offices in Florida monitoring and supervising over 158,000 offenders, which include offenders released from prison on parole, control release, conditional release and conditional medical release, among others.
