The Fire/Rescue and Building Inspection Services Department protects the lives and property of the citizens of Deerfield Beach and Hillsboro Beach, Fla. Its mission is to offer a range of services, which include fire prevention, life safety, emergency medical services, hazard mitigation, building construction and public-awareness campaigns aimed at reducing problems before a tragedy occurs. The department is composed of seven divisions, administration, resource management and training, inspection/investigation, emergency medical services, communications, operations and building. The fire chief supervises division heads and directs activities aimed at fulfilling the Fire/Rescue and Building Inspection Services Department s mission.
