Used to go all during the 50's grab a pizza and some beers and go park at the Monument. Hot Italian sub was a favorite. Visited recently during a trip and was amazed...sub was barely edible, not hot enough, service person looked like a HS dropout or convict, with the ugly tattoos. Knew nothing of Cassano history. Very skimpy fillings in the sub. If I'm in Dayton again forget Cassanos. BTW I used to know Vic, and he wouldn't have a place like this.

I grew up eating at Cassano's ...

I grew up eating at Cassano's I remember it even when I was really little. This was always my farvorite Pizza shop until about 5 years ago. I still love that thin crust deluxe very much and would go as far to say it is the best pie I have ever had, the toppings are perfect, the sauce is awesome! It just flat out taste great! (I grew up in New Carlisle and that to me is the best shop) This shop on brandt sold me a pie with the crust so hard that is broke apart like a cracker. That and not liking the handtossed style they have because it is just too thick has me going there less and less. Like I said the thin crust is still unchanged and awesome. There subs are pretty good and I actually like the steak sub a lot. The prices have gone through the roof and even a good coupon for Cassono's still makes it more costly than other really good shops. Overall it is a great place to sit down and have a great meal (minus the thick crusts pizza's). If you don't mind spending a little bit more money it really is worth the stop. One of the better local pizza chains.

Big Cheese with black olives is my favorite! Be careful though. This location is not consistent. You pay $25 for the largest and may receive the soggiest. I called headquarters, they gave me a $10 credit. The point should be, make the best crispy crust, unburned pizza every time for the money. I recommend Cassano's just be mindful before walking away with it. As usual, I am famished when I order and willing to eat it however I get it rather than wait another hour for a makeover. Famished consumers are at the mercy of the restaurant. Geez.. Please work on it Cassano's! You are my favorite when it's right

Rubbery Taste

The food was good but not the best I've had. It didn't seem like it was real fresh. I think it had sat and then been reheated. Tasted rubbery and tough. I would not recommend this place.
