Stopped in yesterday and bought a 1911. I've been in there before and I had experienced a certain standoffish-ness that many have described. However, after starting a conversation and asking a few reasonable questions i was immediately warmed up to. I am 23. I have been around firearms my whole life, i own several. The first i purchased was from another old-timer in new milford, ct. I 100% understand the initial hostility. Most people my age are absolute morons. Most people, in general today, are idiots. Give him a few minutes of you being well behaved, not anxious and not arrogant about firearms because i can assure you, he most likely knows a bit more about them than you do. He is also hard of hearing so speak up and he won't seemingly ignore you. The changing gun laws have strangled his business and babies on the internet whining have ruined the rest of it. Learn gun shop etiquette and realize that the majority of the boys that have been in the business as long as him are JUST LIKE HIM. His ammo prices are competitive and his firearm prices are about as good as a small shop like his can get. If i can support a local small business i will, thats why i bought this particular pistol from him.

Not only are the Prices way jacked up (taking advantage of the stock situation) but worst, the owner storekeeper is arrogant and rude. Not knowing about a no cell phone rule in the store, I was told to GET OUT! for asking why it was so. BECAUSE IT HAS A CAMERA! the man blared at me. I was just going through google for a fellow customer and that is the last time I will ever step in there.
