In 1923, Howard Holsten Hines opened Apple House Produce in Dallas. In 1926, that organization became Hines Nut Company and began packing and selling its products under the Triple H brand. Hines Nut Company is a fourth-generation, privately-owned company that is still located in Dallas, and is an importer, custom packer and distributor of a variety of nuts and dried fruits. In April 2002, a company by the name of Ferris, led by Peter Ferris, became the exclusive sales agent for Hines Nut Company and represents it in all distribution areas. Hines Nut Company s products include pecan halves, walnut halves and pieces, dried Turkish apricots, whole natural almonds, shelled peanuts, Spanish peanuts, pistachios, whole cashews and pitted dates.
