The owners will track you down on Facebook if you leave a negative review!!!!

I go to school at UGA but this shop is in my hometown. The comic shop I normally go to in Watkinsville had sold out of a special that I wanted, as did the other comics shops in the Athens area. I called Kapow to see if they had any because I was coming home for holiday break the next day. They had the issue in stock and I asked them to pull one for me. My mom decided to do me a favor and pick it up for me that day so I wouldn't have to go get it the next day after driving home. When she got there they hadn't pulled the issue for me because "they felt like they had enough". I have never felt so disregarded by an employee at a comic shop. I was blatantly lied to on the phone and will never be shopping here again. This store needs to learn customer service.

Update: If I could go lower than 1 star I would. The owner of the store tracked me down on Facebook to send me a message regarding my 1 star review. Instead of apologizing for my experience he lied to me again about the comic being pulled and told me to change my review because I put jobs at risk when I give low reviews. I responded to the message to call out the fact that I was being lied to again and the owner proceeded to call me an entitled kid and basically told me that any issue that happened was my fault. Luckily I was only in the area visiting because if this was my only option to be my regular shop I would stop reading comics.

They are selling tings overpriced! And if the vendors find out they will be pukked. Total rip off! No going back and I would advise anyone to go here!

Kapow! Comics: I had the pleas...

Kapow! Comics: I had the pleasure of visiting Kapow tonight for the first time for a casual tournament. While I of course hoped my deck might last a few rounds, I knew only having a few of the newer sets that I would not last the length of it, however the true nature of my visit consisted more of a fact finding experience to feel out the atmosphere of the store and it's operators. It is a little shop, not to be considered a slight at the store for I grew up having spent many Friday nights playing magic in such. Andy, I believe is the owner, seems like a great personable guy, from the transactions I saw him do, he was honest and forthcoming with valuations and dealings with the customers. The players there were great and personable, a great change from my experiences at other larger shops in the area in which I did not find such an atmosphere. I look forward to future dealings, tournaments, and casual play at this great new store. Kapow can be found in the Kroger shopping center off exit 17 on 400 north.
