I want to say that I really love Green Earth. One of the first things I noticed

when I switched was the tech that came out to tend my lawn was so diligent. I

noticed him as I looked out of the window. He did exactly what he was suppose to

do. I had heard stories from friends and neighbors of mine of how they had

watched another company send their people out and the work was not getting done

or it was done half heartedly.

I have been very satisfied with Green Earth thus far.

Lawn Service Scam

The salesman comes to my house for consultation, pretends he understands everything and keeps on sending bills for services I did not agree upon. In summer, I had some lawn problems: japanese beetles, ugly grass, dying tree, etc. I told the salesman my husband usually does all the work, but he has not had time to, so I just need one-time grass cutting and grass treatment. He told me it is $42.00 for cutting grass and $44.00 with $10 off discount for beetle treatment. I agreed, they performed services and I paid in full.

Couple months later, I saw another bill for $44.00 and I thought it was a mistake. So I called and left a message asking why do I have this bill? They never returned my call. Instead, they came back again next month and charged me another fee.

I called and got a hold of a lady named Lauren (supposedly the owner or manager) She said her company always sells this by package and there is no misunderstanding. I told her that her salesman did not sell me this and I did not sign for such contracted service. She started saying this is the game the customers like to play. Later on, her salesman called me personally and apologized saying his boss is ridiculous, he remembers me and that he is sorry for all the trouble. I thought it was done. On December 10th 2008, the lady Lauren sent me a nasty letter saying she will send me to collections and sent a copy of the sales order sheet to me.

At this time, I am filing a restraining order with local authorities and also reporting them to BBB for bad business. I hope none of my neighbors in Cumming fall into their scam.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you felt you perceived that you were not treated properly. As the wife of the owner of GreenEarth Tree & Turfcare. I felt it was important to respond to your review for two reasons: 1. I wanted to clarify my actions on behalf of GreenEarth 2. I wanted to emphasize our focus on continuing to maintain good standing in our community. When I speak with our customers I speak honestly and make every attempt to clarify the situation and come to a win-win resolution of the issues. Our intent is always to work with our customers to build and maintain relationships. When we make a mistake, we make every effort to address the problem and take responsibility for our part of the problem. Our sales team is a good one. Our sales people understand our lawncare treatments. Our paperwork clearly states the number of treatments. During conversations with our potential clients, we point out the benefit of each treatment. We never have and never will offer a one time only treatment. I trust our sales people to be honest; this is an absolute requirement to work for GreenEarth. Sending a bill is customary to receive payments for services rendered. If a customer chooses not to pay their bill, then a phone call is customary. If the phone call does not elicit the response we are looking for, then I follow up with a letter. I answer our main line 90% of the time. I respond to messages as soon as they are received. I take notes for every call, and I have a book that dates when, who and why. If I make a mistake I am willing to admit it and I make every effort to be fair, no matter what the outcome. We are a family owned company, starting out during the worst financial time of our lives. I would not risk losing everything by conducting business on behalf of our company in a dishonest manor. We are succeeding because we operate as an honest, fair, competitive business. Our first priority is our loyal customers. We know you will be happy with our services. We care about our business, our employees, and especially our customers.
