I have had a horrible experience at this location (one of the worst experiences I have ever had) and would never try to do business with them again. I think there are more responsive and more professional companies out there than Atlanta Hobby. So, let me get to the story:

I was trying to get an Inspire 1 drone to get some aerial views of our construction business. Inspire 1 was the big thing coming up and we wanted get this latest drone, instead of Phantom 2 or S900. DJI apparently had a software glitch (which was later experienced by some users and their Inspires had crashed) or whatever other problems they are having, and they have announced a required software update on 1/15/15. For this reason and for some other reasons DJI delayed the deliveries, delayed it again, and delayed it one more time...a constant delay in deliveries… And DJI has this weird way of working: they don’t let their customers know what they shipped to them when they ship it (or at least that is what I was told by Atlanta Hobby). Anyways, drones were not coming, that is understood. And DJI was very poor in letting their customers know when they will be getting their products.

At some point, someone from Atlanta Hobby (which we ended up being buddies) told me that they are receiving a batch that week and, looking at the list of people waiting, said that I am also receiving my drone from that batch. So, everything was good. I said “That is great!”, and called our people to get the construction ready for a day next week for filming. We have sent an e-mail to all employees informing them this-and-this date between these hours they will not be working due to some marketing activities, etc. (something I should have never done, so should you).

The next day I called to check if they had any updates and somebody else picked up the phone, and told me that all drones that are coming in that week have already been assigned and sold to other customers and I am not one of them. Are you kidding me? It has not even been 24 hours since you told me I am getting my drone!!! It was unbelievable. It turned out to be that the guy who told me that I am getting my drone looked at the wrong list and gave me the wrong information.

In short:

I visited their location 1 time (1.5 hours drive one-way), called maybe 20 times, hours of talk, hours of explaining things to people in my company, days of frustration(and an additional 1 hour to write this review) and it ended up getting me NOTHING. And, now they are saying I need to wait around another month to get the drone, which is not for sure. So, we ended up calling another company for aerial filming, and ordered the drone from China for our future needs.

Thank you Atlanta Hobby!
