Please don't go here, for your own sake. Dan swore at my girlfriend and almost permanently damaged her septum with the piercing and refused any attempt to fix it.

Beware of this place...my son got a a bad infection, spent a night in the emergency room with streaks going up his arm. He showed the owner the redness and raised shin around the tattoo and the owner said it was nothing. Later the streaks up the arm. When I called the owner pretended he didn't know my son. All we asked was a refund of the tattoo cost...he refused. Not people you want to do business with.

These guys are amazing! I had never gotten a piercing before and decided on Black Ink to get my first (navel piercing) based on hearing from friends that they were good. The shop itself is very homey and there are couches and a ton of flash art and it just feels very relaxed and non threatening. Dan is the best. He is the sweetest guy and really takes the time with you to make sure you understand what's going on and to make sure you're happy. There was no pain at all with him piercing me and he told me to call if I had any questions. I'll be returning to Black Ink for all my tattoo/piercing needs in the future even though they're an hour away from me. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Together, myself my boyfriend and my cousin who has been visiting from Las Vegas set out today to find a outstanding tatoo shop to fullfill our need for a tatoo today. (You all who have had the need to get one at the moment know what I mean.) After visiting several in the area (which I have to say were very rude and to say the least unfriendly, even in a empty store) we came across Black Inc Tatoo on Terra Cotta Ave in Crystal Lake. Myself having had 14 tats already was very impressed by the owner Dan and his friendly staff, As well as his very clean and impressive shop. The three of us left today all getting tats from Dan which we will very proudly display to our friends and family for many years to come.
