Provided by YP.comIt seems the previous review was done by a friend of the Campsite. The group I met up with were agreeable to this review... Although the site is right on the river, the conditions were appalling. The permanent residence is unsightly to say the least, bath house is riddled with bugs and webs, the portable toilets were cleaner (which is already disgusting in itself, showers backed up to a foot of standing water, and the light didn’t work over shower. There is absolutely no excuse for such deplorable conditions in a bath house. There was NO time taken for cleanliness. Their website bears no resemblace to the actual conditions.

Provided by YP.comOne of the very few campgrounds with sites right on the New River. Spacious spaces, especially in the primitive camping area. Lots of beautiful green nested beside a mountain that snakes along the New River. Friendly family atmosphere, quiet, rafting, canoe, fishing, swimming right in front of your site! Camp host Bill Steinauer works hard to make sure your needs are met, but does not hinder having a peaceful stay. Affordable and one of Campsite Life's TOP picks for 2008.
