Who are writing these reviews? We were told it would be 75.00 for a diagnostic which would take about an hour. It ended up being 2 hours and costing us 200.00, apparently their 75.00 never included labor and we were never told about the additional charge. Then when asked for an estimate on how much to repair our vehicle I was told they would call me back. Well after 4 hours I called them and they still didn't have an answer. It's been 4 days....haven't heard from them. But they did get my 200.00. Wouldn't recommend Dave the Christian to anyone.

I learned of Dave's Auto Repair from word of mouth three years ago and have utilized his services since. Having a number of vehicles outside the warranty window, Dave has consistently provided honest, reliable and outstanding service when I have needed his help. His work is timely and his oversite of technicians ensures the work is held at the level he would expect from himself. My family will be leaving the area and will certainly miss the confidence instilled by the work he has done.

Being an older 'widow' I have been to many garages and service departments and believe me, they see a lady walk through the door and you already have an invoice started before you even hit the counter... Dave's Auto was very understanding, they explained everything to me step by step before the repairs were performed and exactly what the cost would be. I was offered a ride home and picked back up when my vehicle was ready. They have an oil change club; I believe after your 9th oil change, your next one is free... Very honest Christian Man I took a few of his business cards, he has my business from now on...

Dave and his employees are honest and effecient mechanics. I have been using his services for 5 years.I was a mechanic for the Lake County Highway Dept. many years ago. My father was also a Master Mechanic. At 63, I now have Dave's do all my work on my 1992 Lincoln Continental Towncar.Whether it was brakes, air conditio0ning, power windows, tune-ups or just anoil change, etc. I have always found their work excellent and the prices reasonable..Dave is extremely honest and I would recommend his reapair services to anyone.Raleigh PleskoSchererville, IN

I am new to the area and couldn't find a reputable place to get car work done. Went online and found Dave's (with 2 excellent reviews) and gave them a try. Very impressed! Needed to get brakes and tires. After an inspection the brake job was pads and rotors. Rather than charge me for the installation of new rotors the shop recommended I get my current ones machined. Pads were installed and all done in about a half day! Tired had to be ordered and installed at a later date, but that went jjust as smoothly. I won't take my subarau anywhere else. Terrific job, great value, and above all else HONESTY! Can't recommend them enough!

Dave's Auto Repair is one of the most honest places we have ever taken our vehicles. He is resonably priced and very upfront about any repairs that need to be done. We don't take our vehicles anywhere else.
