Dr. Cortez is a highly trained board certified OB/GYN who offers up to date obstetrical and gynecological care on a personal level. Not only does Dr. Cortez offer comprehensive care for women from adolescence through menopause, she has an additional passion for assisting women and men with their hormonal health and weight loss goals. Dr Cortez has received additional training and certification through BioTe medical to counsel and treat hormonal deficiencies. She also offers The Center for Medical Weight Loss Program. It is important to Dr. Cortez to offer the tools needed to help people achieve wellness through weight loss and hormonal balance as she and her husband have, themselves. Dr. Cortez attended the University of North Texas for her undergraduate education, then obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2002. She completed her internship and residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Outside of work Dr. Cortez enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She is active in her church, enjoys working out and reading
