These guys do outstanding work. I've used these guys for service work on my commercial rental property as well as residential. They are easy to deal with and their rates are reasonable. I'll definitely use them in the future.

We had some major electrical issues on our older home. Lights blowing and fuses going out, had to be brought up to code. A friend of mine had used Oldham County Electric told me I should give them a call. We winded up needing a panel change, and some other things brought up to code. I got two other quotes and decided to go with Clay. I'm glad we did. His prices were spot on and he and his helper couldn't have done a better job. Very pleased and would recommend them.

Professional and courteous. Did an outstanding great job on my kitchen remodel. Clay did say he has new staff and help problems resolved. I got great service and highly recommend.

Actually less than 1 star. Clay is dishonest and does not stand up to his word. He works for AHS home warranty and will replace ceiling fans with the cheapest fan he can buy all while he lies to you telling you that the fan costs $150 when in fact the cheap Harbor Breeze fan cost $59.97 on sale at Lowes and is $69.97 regular price. Does not return calls. I would not recommend using them.

Spoke with Clay Meredith. Set up appointment for 6/29. Never showed up. Wouldn't answer calls and wouldn't respond to verify if someone was still coming. Very unprofessional and rude. Left me waiting for hours to just be a no show. I adviced my home warranty to take him off my list. He is very unprofessional and the way that he speaks with the customer over the phone will eventually come back and bite him you know where. He has very poor customer service and I will never deal with him or his company again. Reported to BBB

I'll begin by stating I'm writing this review in hopes that Clay Meredith, owner of Oldham County Electric, will change his business practices and serve the Oldham County community ethically.

Clay bid the job on my home fairly and honestly, but never completed any of the work himself. His two workers did "ok" or satisfactory work, but they NEVER showed up on schedule and NEVER worked a full day. My entire project was put on hold because I could not get them to finish their work, so the other contractors could finish their respective work. Even after the "final work" was complete I was left with six fixtures to install myself, even though my contract clearly stated him would install. I called in the final inspection (performed by Oldham County) after Clay Meredith became unresponsive to my voicemail, text messages, and emails for more than five weeks.

I would never recommend this company to anyone. If you need further validation call Oldham Co. Planning and Development.

All-in-all I wasn't completely ripped off, but my contract with Oldham County Electric was not completed.

Find another electrical contractor.

Shady and dishonest! We naively paid their invoice in full which was much more than the quote. When we asked for details, they gave us none such as material costs, hours worked, etc. Their crew only worked from 9-3 but I think they billed us for full days, no way to tell. Owner was not forthcoming when pressed for details. Then, they LIED to our building management to get into our condo after we said not to come over that day and we caught them taking materials we paid for out of our place. When I asked the owner Clay Meredith for a detailed invoice and an explanation why his crew was in our condo without permission, he said he would let me know. Never heard a word back and we had to call the police. Now he will not take calls but he did take our money, many thousands of dollars and the job is still not done. I have been crying over this for a day now, we feel very mistreated and used.

Finally a company that was on time, professional and priced right, hard to find these days , thanks and I will keep your number handy!
