The Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital, a non-profit organization, has been providing environmental outreach programs to the residents of our community since 1995. These programs are designed to entertain and educate both children and adults during our visits to schools, camps, nursing homes, libraries, etc. Our Center also provides care for over 850 injured, sick or orphaned Florida native baby birds, mammals and reptiles per year, and provides homes for many permanently disabled and non-releasable wildlife which serve as “Educational Ambassadors” for their species. Our public areas are open to visitors.
