I was petrified with fear every time I had to go to the dentist. I would start crying just by sitting on the dentist's chair. My dental experiences had been terrible and the pain was intolerable! So, I stopped going to the dentist... until a friend recommended me to Dr. Raymond Kimsey. I remember the first time I met him when I visited his offices more than 14 years ago, Dr. Kimsey was very attentive and gentle. He treated me with respect and at no time did he belittled me or my feelings of phobia. This was the first step on the right direction, a sensitive, empathetic dentist!! A rare find! I felt comfortable enough to agree to make an appointment to have a deep cleaning. Dr. Kimsey administered IV sedation at this time, he explained every step with kindness and patience, it was clear to me that my dental work was the most important task in Dr. Kimsey's agenda. I have been going to see Dr. Kimsey for the past 14 years for all my dental needs; regular cleansings, cavities, root canals and crowns. He has administered "laughing gas" (nitrous oxide) and IV sedation on several occasions. When he is working with me, he always tells me in advance what he will be doing, if he is going to tap on a tooth, if he is going to inject my gums, anything! He tells me! I always know what to expect, there are no surprises, no unexpected pain, I CAN TRUST HIM. I am happy to say that just recently I went to see Dr. Kimsey for a root canal, I feel so comfortable and so safe with him and his staff that I just needed regular injections of anesthesia on my gums, no more laughing gas, no more IV's! That is how good he really is! And my dental work is still the most important task in his agenda! I feel lucky to have him as my dentist. Thank you Dr. Kimsey! RAYMOND D.
