The Civic Center can accommodate up to 500 people. It hosts various art shows, dances and commercial expositions. It is available on rent for private group gatherings. The center is operated by the City of Copperas Cove Parks and Recreation Department, which offers a variety of recreational opportunities for people of all ages. The department offers a variety of athletic activities, including soccer, tennis, baseball, softball and basketball. It also offers the Start Smart program. The department conducts a range of exercise programs, including wake-up and walk, stretch and flex, walk and talk, and low-impact and water aerobics.
