My dad had recently moved in with us for health reasons. We needed to get him health insurance in this area so we went to Matlock to check out the Blue Cross Blue Shield plan. The man we talked to (we'll leave him unnamed) , he told us all about BCBS. We decided it was good coverage and all. We asked him about cost, he told us about it, gold plan $81 platinum plan $133. Medicare takes $87 right from my dads Social Security check, we asked if that was being taken out still. He said no all you pay a month is $133. We asked him about 3 different times about the cost. Well the first bill of $133 comes, they already took the $87 out of the check. My dad and I are like, What?. So I call BCBS, they tell me oh no you still have to pay for the Medicare Part B. So they call him and of course he tells them he didn't say that it only costs $133. That's the first thing that wasn't true. Then we find out that when someone moves to the state of TN they have like 60 days to pick an insurance company. Well he told us it had to be by the end of the month, my dad only lived here about 2 weeks by the end of the month. So that was the second thing that wasn't true. I recommend never using this company for anything! He just want's his share!
