The academy is a dump. There are ceiling tiles falling out in the break room the fire alarm is falling off the wall and all their yard trucks are junk. The instructors are hit or miss and really are only worried about you putting in 10 hours a day at the school. They do not care if those 10 hours are done doing meaningful things that will teach you anything. Most of the time no one at the school is on the same page and you will get the impression the school just opened last week. No one knows what is going on each day. We tested out in the yard early and they made us sit around 10 hours a day for 2 days watching an awful pretrip video or going over the shift patterns on a broken simulator. If they have a maintenance worker he is terrible because they don't fix anything here. The road trucks are a mess. It's really sad that this is what your money or the company you will be working fors money is being wasted on. Now not all the instructorsame are bad. Our classroom instructor Reggie was good and he tried to teach us more than he was required. Yard......not so much it is mostly learn on your own. My advice for anyone actually wanting to learn about this career is to go to a different school. This one is a laughably terrible excuse.
