Being a customer here for over 5 years, I cannot believe that this business is being reviewed so poorly. After coming here for so long I have never had the experience of being "terrorized" or have never found the business to be "frightful," (as previous reviewers have said). The owner and I have only had a couple of discrepancies for the long time I have been coming here, but they have all been resolved, and the owner was being very fair and understanding with the situations. For this, I give the business 5 stars. As for the problems described in previous reviews, I sincerely do not believe the owner is capable of intentionally cheating any of his customers. We all know that the current economic status is forcing everyone to be a little more stringent with money. So, even though some people may find it ok to poorly review a business because of one problem, I for one believe that judging a fair and welcoming place like Caldwell's Cleaners as 1 star is extremely harsh and dishonest.

I brought a cotton shower curtain here to be dry cleaned per the mfr's cleaning instructions on the tag. After cleaning, I found that my 70x72" curtain was now 57x66." I called the store, told them about the problem & was told the owner would call me back. He didn't return my call. When I reached the owner, he cut me off, insisting that I either bring the curtain to the store to have them "stretch" it for me or take it back to where I bought it for a refund because he followed the "dry clean only" instructions. I called another cleaner (without mentioning Caldwell Cleaners) & asked if it was possible for a cotton shower curtain to shrink this much if dry cleaned & was told that cotton may shrink as much as 2% but the results I received weren't possible. I called Caldwell Cleaners back & the owner yelled, accusing me of bad-mouthing him to competitors, threatening him with bad word-of-mouth & lying about the shrinkage. He talked over me, refusing to let me speak. Terrible experience!
