I lived in San Francisco for 13 years and was spoiled with the amount of quality restaurants to choose from. All that changed when I moved to the East Bay to raise a family. I found myself having to drive the 30 minutes to Walnut Creek to have a fine dining experience. I live in Clayton and was thrilled when Bella opened. Now, I can drive 5 minutes to experience a warm and inviting aphnsophere, amazing food choices and my favorite Carpaccio! I love Prawns and every dish with prawns is amazing. For salmon lovers try the Salmon brochette! Who would have thought of that? I usual opt for the standard tomato, basil, but not anymore, the have 4 or 5 different one’s to choose from. Like seafood? Come prepared to be satisfied: the Con Vongole E Cozze (steamed clams and Mussels) is mouth watering. For salad lovers, every salad is” to-die-for”, especially the crab salad. For you meat lovers, the Filet mignon, Veal and Pork dishes will have you asking for more. And don’t even get me started on the pasta dishes, there are so many to choose from. End the evening with the deserts and a wonderful glass port or cappuccino, an excellent ending to a perfect evening. Go out to Bella: enjoy the warm atmosphere, food (and its presentation), and its friendly staff. Bella it is a little slice of Quality Dining in our own back yards.

took 40+ mins to get food--but then no one else there was eating either. food was overpriced, underseasoned, cold, shells found in seafood lasagna in which the pasta was severly overcooked--server (or anyone else for that matter) never once checked on us. server was notified of unsatisfactory service and food, and did NOTHING! Just quickly dropped the check and ran off.

was our first and last time there. save your money.
