Beauchamp Distributing is one of Southern California's largest black-owned businesses, in addition to the United States. The company delivers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to retailers throughout the Los Angeles area. It is managed by its founder, Pat Beauchamp, who located the company in Compton, Calif., in 1984. Beauchamp started up the company in 1971 and was the first African American to be awarded a Miller Brewing distributorship. Located in Compton, Beauchamp Distributing is a privately owned company that employs nearly 150 people.
