A Bexley Gem!



My wife and I were at Giuseppe's Retrovo last night for happy hour. First of all, every member of the wait staff looked like they'd just stepped out of an Abercrombie & Fitch ad. We hadn't dined in this restaurant since its expansion several years ago, and we were pleasantly surprised by the sophisticated ambience.



The crowd encompassed all age groups: young singles, people in their sixties and families with young children.



We sat at the bar (which is the only option tif you want the terrific happy hour prices) and ordered excellent glasses of red wines, flatbread proscuitto pizza and caprese salad. The mozzarella in the pizza and caprese salad was exceptional, and the olive oil in the salad was also high quality. The fresh basil added a nice note.



This time, we'll be back soon.

Wonderful Italian dishes and inventive pastas. The atmosphere is casual but quiet. There is some patio seating on Main St. and it is a great place to eat on a nice evening. Wine selection is tasteful with many unique, reasonably priced offerings.
