Formed in 1989 through the acquisition of the assets of a local cooperative of Ohio produce growers and the purchase of produce processing and caramel apple making equipment, DNO Inc. has operated through the support of loyal independent grocers. While continuing to operate as a wholesaler of bulk produce, it has expanded into the custom packaging business to meet the growing demand for healthier alternatives to fast food. Located in Columbus, Ohio, under the FreshHealth brand, DNO Inc. provides combination of prechopped vegetables and fruits in easy-to-display trays or pouches to schools, convenience stores, grocers and corporate commissaries. It also offers seasonal packages, such as cut vegetables for summer grilling and vegetables to add to stuffing mix for holiday feasting as well as year-round snack packs - apple wedges, carrot sticks, and celery sticks, with or without dips.
