Very shady company!!! will never do business with them again

I am not really sure where to begin this as I have never been driven to such lengths to warn others. On October 24, 2012 at approx 3:00am, my vehicle was towed by A/T Towing (1468 East 4th Avenue Columbus, OH 43219) for what they described as “double parking in a tow zone”. Once all of the information was gathered, I knew that this could not be the case. I called to speak with the management to get the specifics on what it would take to release my vehicle and was greeted by a woman named ‘Deb’. She was very short with me and downright dismissive to my inquiries about the circumstances that my vehicle was towed. I arrived to A/T Towing around 11am on October 24 to recover my vehicle. Upon entry, the only thing that greeted me at the window were the stench of cigarettes and the dog that’s on the property. After waiting for about a minute, I knocked on the glass and ‘Deb’ emerged from the back. I paid the $150 up front with the intent on filing a dispute later. While I handed her my release money, I inquired more about when and where my car was towed, her name, as well as if there was a standing procedure for filing a dispute with the company. During this time, ‘Deb’ already visibly agitated began to raise her voice, telling me that I was double parked and in a handicapped spot. I reassured her that I was not trying to argue and that I just needed the facts from their prospective. She then showed me grainy print outs of pictures taken by the tow driver that she thought explained her case. She would not let me explain what she was looking at and was reluctant to print me copies of the photos. The next morning I went to my leasing office (since I assume A/T Towing had a contract with them) and explained the ordeal. The leasing office was very understanding to my situation and found that the tow was unjustified and completely refunded my tow fees. It is my understanding the complaints against Deb and A/T are well documented to the point that my apartment complex assured me that they will soon be severing their relationship with A/T for their unprofessionalism and unjustified tows.



Overall, A/T towing (‘Deb’ in my experience) was confrontational, unprofessional, and downright disrespectful. I would urge the management of A/T that if they get a chance to see this to put more of an emphasis on customer service. To someone that could have had their vehicle towed (even if done illegally as was my case) it would make all the difference. I didn’t arrive to A/T with the expectation of hotel level hospitality; however I do expect and demand to be treated respectfully as an adult and expect others to hold me accountable as well.



Lastly, If your car has been towed from your rental property, please gather as many facts as you can and check with your leasing office, you may be surprised by what you find.

I will never use this company. My neighbor had a car towed through them and in the process, the tow-truck driver backed into my vehicle causing significant damage. The driver refused to give his company's insurance information at the scene of the incident and now the company is denying the incident ever occurred, despite the fact that I have pictures of the damage, witnesses, and the driver's information in his own hand-writing. This company is deceitful, dishonest, and untrustworthy. I would not recommend their services under any circumstances.

Very fast, professional service at a VERY affordable price.

A/T Towing was on time, affordable and very professional. The dispatcher was very polite and concerned about our safety until the truck was able to reach us. The driver (Josh) was careful loading with my truck and I felt comfortable riding with him to my destination. I have used other towing companies and have been terrified by the way they drive. Every time I have used A/T Towing I have ALWAYS had respectful, cautious drivers. I highly recommend this company.

I personally use this towing company. There is no other company out there that will give you the full respect you deserve. They are on time and affordable. Not to mention nice. They are very careful with your property as well as your automobiles

i was very impressed with the service they had to offer. They were very fast getting to me when the tranny went out in my car. and the driver that picked up my car was very cool. and they wasn't as pricey as some of the other towers i have used in the past. they definitely have a long time customer.
