I have been going to Dr. V for over 20 years. He is a 3rd generation veterinarian, and the BEST one in Columbia! PERIOD! He has the long term knowledge to know the tricks in vet care that ONLY come with time. You want the best vet in columbia, go to DR V. He works with owners, trust me, he cares. He had to put one of my dogs down, and he cried worse than I did!.He is a true, caring, pet centered vet. Have seen him take in animals to keep them from going to shelter, and will keep them for remainder of its life if needed. Makes him a AAAAA+ in my book. Class act, but a little gruff, if he is, maybe you deserved it.

Dr. Van De Grift is a wonderful vet! I took my fur babies to another vet in the area for years. My 11 year old girl ruptured her ACL and our vet wanted about $3000. Dr. Van De Grift was so much more reasonable and my girl had excellent care. She is completely healed and is back to how she was prior to surgery.

Dr. VDG is amazing with the pets and their owners. You can tell he is genuinely concerned for their well-being. And, not having to make an appointment - awesome!

I have been to numerous vets in and around Columbia and none compare to Dr. Van De Grift. He truly is a wonderful man, that cares for my animals like they are his own. His staff are very knowledgable also and go out of their way to help you any way possible. Honestly, he isn't in this business for the money, it's all about the animals.

Dr. Van De Grift has been at his current location since 1985, and continues to provide excellent service 7 days a week. He is the only local Vet that opens for business on Sunday without a weekend or emergency fee. His staff is extremely dedicated and thoughtful. He is able to provide rates that are far less expensive that any other Vet in Columbia SC. He is

a very kind gentleman, and tears can still be seen in his eyes after the passing of a patient. He is even known to send flowers to grieving pet owners, in which the price far exceeds the cost of his services. The Van De Grift Animal Clinic at 1812 Taylor Street, and it's dedicated staff are absolutely wonderful.
