One star is being EXTREMELY generous. THE WORSE MORTGAGE COMPANY EVER!!! I've lost a house because of these people. They had strung me along for a two months. Asking for extension after extension. The seller became extremely reluctant. Well, I've found out why these people have suck bad reviews... are you ready?? THEIR LOAN OFFICERS ARE NOT licensed!! Let alone qualified. My new loan officer at a different company looked them up and no one is licensed. The indian guy who owns the company uses allows them to use his name and the apply for mortgages at different banks. One of the leading officers (not licensed) Leu Stepney is a big liar. He will tell you they've made GREAT progress when the loan is still sitting on his desk! They are a JOKE and it is a wonder they are still open.....

This mortgage company pre-approved a buyer for my house that had no business being approved. Because the buyer was pre-approved by Exit Mortgage, we entered into a 3 month sales contract --because the buyer's apartment was leased until then. So leading up to the closing, we did all the things you're supposed to do. The home buyer paid for an appraisal, I paid for and made changes to my home to make it FHA loan ready (about $3K). The changes got approved and we had a loose closing date. I kept asking for a firm closing date and they kept saying it would be around May 26. I trusted them and so I spent another $500 in time and moving vans to move my belongings out of the property. I got a storage locker (at $170/month) thinking since I won't be paying a mortgage after this month. On May 19, less than a week before our slated closing, my realtor calls me and tells me that the deal is falling through because the loan officer messed up and didn't realize the buyer had student loans that were coming out of deferment. A simple credit check would've determined this. I have about $3500 on credit cards at this point, a mortgage on an empty house to still pay and now, the addition of a monthly storage unit to pay for...not to mention the vacation days I've squandered to meet contractors and move....Today, May 22, my realtor called me to tell me the sale is officially dead and I won't get the hand money. This was the worst experience I've ever had with buying and selling a home. Both the buyer's and the seller's (me) money and worst of all, time, was wasted by Exit Mortgage's complete and utter incompetency.
